All Opportunities

Below is a comprehensive list of all privately-funded scholarships with brief information about the scholarship selection criteria. To apply to scholarships, you must first sign in with your Saint Leo portal username and password.

What to Expect

  • You will be presented with the general application after logging in.
  • After completing and submitting the general application, you will be presented with “recommended” opportunities you may qualify for. Please review the scholarship selection criteria to determine your eligibility.
  • After completing each of these steps, you can see your application status on your dashboard. If your status is not listed as “submitted”, you have not fully completed your application.
  • If you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will receive an email notification to your Saint Leo email account.

When browsing “All” scholarships, please note that this is a list of all the privately-funded scholarship opportunities within the Saint Leo University scholarship system, not just those scholarships for which you may be receiving consideration. The number and award amount of the scholarships listed are for general purposes only and should not be considered a guarantee of what you will receive, if selected. Actual award amounts vary based on students’ individual eligibility, funds available, and other factors.

Once you submit your general application, you will be auto-matched with scholarships for which you may qualify. The system automatically syncs with your student data file. You will NOT see your auto-matched scholarships. Qualifying for or matching with a scholarship does not guarantee that you will receive an award.

Renewable Privately-funded Scholarships

In order for a scholarship recipient to have a renewable privately-funded scholarship renewed, a student must meet the following requirements:

  • The student must submit a completed scholarship application EVERY YEAR that the student would like to have their renewable scholarship applied to their financial aid account. Scholarship applications must be submitted via the AcademicWorks platform.
If a student’s renewable scholarship is to be applied during the fall cycle, the student’s application must be complete and submitted by October 15.
If a student’s renewable scholarship is to be applied during the winter cycle, the student’s application must be complete and submitted by February 15.
  • The student must meet all scholarship eligibility criteria.
  • If the renewable scholarship has criteria specifying that a recipient must have financial need, the student must have a complete and current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file. Financial need is the difference between the cost of attendance (COA) at a school and the student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Students that have not completed the FAFSA verification process are not eligible to receive need-based privately-funded scholarships.
  • Undergraduate students that are entering their 5th year of study are ineligible for privately-funded scholarships, including renewable privately-funded scholarships.

Your completed general application will be archived and removed from the system in July of each year. You must complete a new general application during a scholarship cycle each year.

All domestic student applicants must have a current and complete FAFSA on file at Saint Leo University. Failure to have a current and complete FAFSA on file will render you ineligible for need-based scholarships.
