Lt. Col. Charles L. and Harriet M. Fisk Endowed Scholarship

Lt. Col. Charles L. and Harriet M. Fisk Endowed Scholarship

Why did you choose to create a scholarship at Saint Leo University?
Maribeth and I established this scholarship to honor my father’s 27 year Air Force career and reflect Saint Leo University’s commitment to providing educational services to our military community.

What would you want the recipients to know about the persons for whom this scholarship is named?
My mother (Harriet M. Fisk) graduated from Alfred University in 1945 with a degree in business administration. My father (Charles L. Fisk) enlisted in the Army in 1940 as a buck private and retired 27 years later as a Lt. Col. He was a pilot and flew 56 combat missions in WWII.

What is your favorite Saint Leo story, tradition, or what Saint Leo has meant to you?
Our favorite Saint Leo “tradition” is providing an opportunity for acquiring an excellent education to anyone willing to provide the necessary effort.

What do you hope recipients gain through this scholarship support?
A value based, educational experience that will provide the foundation for life-long personal success.
